EM's Trademarked Proprietary Blend Drying Agent
Since 2009, Environmental Materials has been at the forefront of innovative solutions for waste stabilization and recycling. Our proprietary fly ash blend, ENVIRO DRY®, is the best quality fly ash and drill cutting stabilization products available on the market.
As the drying agent that generates the most heat in the industry and a set so solid you can drive on it, ENVIRO DRY® has been trusted by industry leaders for over a decade.
What is ENVIRO DRY®?
In 2009, Environmental Materials opened a new ash bagging and blending facility to mix a brand new specialized ash blend. This product, now known as ENVIRO DRY®, is a proprietary fly ash blend that has been formulated to serve both individual markets and specific customer needs.
ENVIRO DRY® is a superior drying and bonding agent used extensively as a drying agent to stabilize cuttings, fluids, and various oil field waste streams. Its services, as well as EM’s, have been put to the test successfully with many of the largest drilling and solids control companies in the Bakken for more than 10 years. ENVIRO DRY® has been tested for use in fresh water, brine, and oil-based drill cuttings, and has a proven record of remediating waste into a 100% dry material with a solid set.
Other beneficial recycling uses include:
- Substituting for portland cement to make concrete stronger
- Mixing with native soils for road stabilization
- Mine reclamation
- and more

The Story of ENVIRO DRY®
In 2009, EM opened a new ash bagging and blending facility with a 100 ton ash silo on JDW Real Estate’s property in Lockwood, MT to mix a specialized ash blend, ENVIRO DRY®. Only a year later, they realized this facility wouldn’t be enough. In 2010, EM had seen such tremendous growth, they chose to extend the Lockwood facility with a new ash load out building, and Warren Transport, Inc. began to steadily haul EM’s ENVIRO DRY® to the Bakken Oil Fields.
Two years later, in 2012, ENVIRO DRY® was officially trademarked. To keep up with the demand, EM opened an ash blending and bagging facility in Killdeer, ND. This worked until 2015, when EM expanded its blending and bagging facility in Killdeer, ND and moved all blending operations to ND.
